Hand turned from farmed poplar, made in Norfolk.
The base is then gessoed, a coloured bole is polished and then they are gilded.
The coloured bole might show through in small places.
options for the water gilded base are;
a; 23kt gold which is gilded on red bole.
b; silver which is gilded on black bole
c; silver in blues which is gilded on black bole
d; Old bronze which is gilded on black bole

Stems painted in a good natural organic paint, recommend Edward Bulmer.

Which we sand back and give a coat of beeswax, for a soft protective sheen.
The shade is a whirl of parchment lampshade material which is fastened by two brass Chicago screws - introducing a touch of saddlery.
I designed this for this light, to create a seamless flow, with no shadow of shade ring.
Calyx means a whirl of petals, the soft parchment shade with its overlap and soft edges plays with this concept.
G9 lampholder is hidden by a polished brass cup.
