Inspired by the sculptural form of this plant.
Hand formed timbers are laminated and formed to make a very gentle curve, edges are sanded back to give more delicacy.
The leaves are hand painted with Bole, 3- 4 coats which is then given a day to dry.
Hand oiled gilded with oxidised silver leaf.
Each leaf is individually placed.
The solid brass details are patinated.

Inspired by the plant — each piece begins with a single hand‑curved timber leaf, then hand‑carved to capture the delicate natural movement of foliage. The leaves are gessoed and gilded with oxidised silver leaf, creating a soft, aged luminosity that reads as both botanical and timeless. No two leaves are the same: sizes vary with placement to produce a bold, sculptural silhouette that reads beautifully from every angle.
The metalwork is deliberately restrained and dramatically finished. Brass is patinated to near black, with polished brass accents that catch the light and punctuate the composition. The result is a rich, tactile contrast between warm metal, burnished silver leaf and natural wood grain.
Versatile by design — the piece sits perfectly as a single statement light or as a coordinated group to create rhythm and depth across a space. Each commission can be tailored: please contact us to discuss bespoke configurations, finishes and layouts.
