Chalk and Borough Pendant Light.

with 22kt gold, gesso and patinated brass

Chalk and Borough pendant Light.

Site specific and in collaboration with the owner.

This pendant light designed for an open plan basement kitchen and sitting room.

To work above the dining table and to link the room.

There is a small LED spot light incorporated into the design to allow a hidden light source to shine directly onto the table, the Chalk tubes are hand carved and coated with gesso, sanded back with a gilded edge, they swivel to allow directional light for either up or down, they also rotate off the main spine to allow for more control.

Incorporated too is a Borough shade, which links to the two Borough wall lights specified for either side of the kitchen hob.

All the brass has been patinated to match the room and a Rupeert Bevan mirror, which is opposite the pendant light.

Painting by the owners brother in law.

All my designs are interchangeable.

Detail of the pendant light, showing the hand carved Chalk tubes, with gilded edges, allows some light through the gap whilst also allowing top light.

A swing arm Borough reading light, either side of the oven and illuminating the kitchen work surface.

A headdress of lucite rods, designed for the downstairs loo.
